I am glad you are here! Like many parents (my self included), we have dreams for our child to do well as an adult. It might be for him or her to go to a great college, be successful in their career, be productive in the society, etc.

However, you also might wonder how their struggles with reading will impact them later in life. Those are important ideas that we all think about as parents.

Are there actions now that we can take to help your struggling reader?

Luckily, YES there are!

My name is, Jennifer Penttinen, and I am a licensed teacher with over 18 years of public school teaching experience. I have taught hundreds of struggling readers to advance their skills and chances are, I have worked with students who have had similar reading struggles as your child.

Many of my students had other learning difficulties which impacted their reading skills.

Some of these students were also identified with having dyslexia, a specific learning disability (SLD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and/or were just behind in their reading skills.

What are your child's areas of reading difficulty?

I offer a FREE reading assessment to identify where your child's reading struggles are and I will personally develop a report that outlines how instruction can be individualized to meet your child's unique needs.

I can advance your child's reading skills.

I teach reading using specific philosophies and strategies (i.e Orton-Gillingham, Sonday, etc.) that use sequential, systematic, and multi-sensory instruction. I integrate technology into my instruction in order to make faster progress, make learning more fun, and to keep students engaged/focused (I do NOT sit and watch your child play games or have a scripted program. The computer is just what I use to connect to your child).

Are you ready to begin? Contact me and let me know how to best reach you or if you have any questions. I will respond within 24 hours.

I look forward to hearing from you.

P.S. Please let me know if you would like more information.
